The Green Blessings from God
Do you Know Trees Are the warriors appointed by God for the mankind. It is amazing what all these warriors do to protect us.
Trees clean the air
Trees help cleanse the air by intercepting airborne particles, reducing heat, and absorbing pollutants such as Carbon monoxide, Sulphur dioxide and Nitrogen dioxide.
Trees Produce Oxygen
A mature leafy tree, in a few months, produces as much oxygen as that required by 18 people for one year.
Trees reduce Soil erosion
Trees reduce topsoil erosion, prevent harmful land pollutants contained in the soil from getting into our waterways, slow down water run-off, and ensure that our groundwater supplies are continually being replenished.
Trees reduce Noise Pollution
Trees are as effective as stonewalls in stopping sound. Trees, planted at strategic points in a neighbourhood or around your house, can reduce major noises from crowded roads, railway stations and airports.
Studies have shown that hospital patients with a view of trees out their windows recover much faster and with fewer complications than similar patients without such views.
Trees reduce Air Pollution
Trees help in lowering the dust levels and pollution levels in the cities.
People staying in areas and localities with trees have much less breathing problems that the ones staying in localities which have no trees.
Planting trees and expanding parklands improves the air quality. A total of 300 trees can counter balance the amount of pollution one person produces in a lifetime.
Trees act as temperature Regulators
Trees lower local air temperatures by transpiring water and shading surfaces. Because they lower air temperatures, shade buildings in the summer, and block winter winds, they can reduce building energy use and cooling costs.
*Trees are also provide us with medicines and various cosmetic products.
*Trees also provide us with various kinds of timber(wood).
*A ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees. We should encourage the use of recycle paper.
We often talk about Greenhouse effect. What is it??
The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere such as water vapour, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane etc. trap energy from the sun. Without these gases , heat would escape back into space and Earth's average temperature would be about 60 ºF colder. Because of how they warm our world, these gases are referred to as greenhouse gases.
Trees Reduce Greenhouse Effect
Trees also reduce the greenhouse effect by shading our homes and office buildings. This reduces air conditioning needs up to 30%, thereby reducing the amount of fossil fuels burned to produce electricity. This combination of CO2 removal from the atmosphere, carbon storage in wood, and the cooling effect makes trees a very efficient tool in fighting the greenhouse effect.
Trees Stimulates Economic Growth
Trees can be a stimulus to economic development, attracting new business and tourism. Commercial retail areas are more attractive to shoppers, apartments rent more quickly, tenants stay longer, and space in a wooded setting is more valuable to sell or rent.
Thus we can see when we take an initiative to PLANT A TREE WE PLANT A HOPE
